    Breakers Change in Culture

Welcome to the Bay State Breakers! I am excited for this opportunity to join such an established program and help our youth hockey players develop their hockey and leadership skills to become the best athletes they can be. Hockey has taught me many life lessons along the way which has allowed me to be successful in my time as a student, an executive in my professional life, a coach, a friend, and a loving father. I look forward to getting back into the game I love in a full-time capacity.

My goal with the Breakers is to create a culture where our athletes can thrive in a positive, competitive environment while learning how to become good teammates and leaders along the way. While many programs focus on athletic development for college, the reality is the majority of players will never play in the NCAA. While these stats are constantly changing, about 8% of men and 17% of women will play hockey in the NCAA. This includes ALL divisions. So, our goal here at the Breakers is to develop competitive, hard-working athletes who also possess character and integrity to become high functioning adults in our society. We will focus on the process and how to develop a good work ethic to strive to be better. Learning how to be accountable to your teammates and be able to receive constructive criticism in a positive manner can help in all facets of life. We believe this formula is the foundation to all successful organizations and will serve as the blueprint to elevate the Bay State Breakers back among the Elite programs of youth hockey.

Over the past decade, club sports have become a multibillion-dollar industry and within that transition has come a lack of perspective on what club sports really are and can be. As parents, perspective is everything. Our kids will grow up in the blink of an eye. We all need to remember this while we push our kids to be the best versions of themselves. Enjoy the ride! I hope the Bay State Breakers will be the program for your family on the South Shore, I look forward to seeing everyone around the rink!

“The goal is sweet but appreciate the journey. Success is filled with imperfections.”

The Bay State Breakers is a comprehensive hockey organization composed of teams competing in the  EHF, The EHF Selects and the NEGHL, with teams ranging from age 6 through 18. The program is operated within the Rockland Ice Rink; however, it utilizes a number of other local facilities, such as The Bog, Hobomock Arenas, and Bavis Arena.  The Breakers organization      offers competition and development to our players in the premier youth leagues for both  boys and girls in New England.
